“Good cuts,
good service.”

Community News · Business Spotlight · November 2, 2012

When the Community News sent its Business Spotlight to this corner in 2012, the headline wrote itself. The article found what regulars already knew: customers who had kept the same chair for twenty-five years, families returning across generations, and a barber shop at the heart of Clifton Park. The clipping survives in the shop’s records and is presented here as found.

A familiar business at a changing crossroads

The corner changed.
Star Barber stayed.

Local reporting traces Star Barber’s roots to around 1968, while surviving documentary evidence places the business here by 1974. In 2007, the shop moved from old Star Plaza into the Shoppes of Halfmoon before the old building came down.
